Gentry is a beautiful, sweet 2 year old long-haired beauty who was dumped outside. A good Samaritan noticed Gentry was really struggling to take care of herself on the streets. Having recently been an indoor cat and part of a family, poor Gentry had a hard time finding food, and she wasn’t part of any outdoor cat colonies, so they were mean to her. When Gentry was first rescued, she mostly slept inside cabinets but couldn’t resist coming out for gentle petting and affection. Gentry hasn’t let her ordeal dampen her spirts or her love of people. Once she takes a little time to gain confidence and trust, she will enjoy taking naps with you, watching tv together and will make a wonderful companion. She has excellent litterbox manners! Gentry enjoys dry cat food kibble, and with a little encouragement of gentle petting, she becomes comfortable to eat healthy canned/wet food. With proper, slow introductions, Gentry may do well with another sweet, gentle passive cat though she may grumble a meow under her breath in the beginning (perhaps remembering the cats who were mean to her when she was abandoned outside, she needs to make sure they won’t hurt her). Gentry is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped with an adopt fee of $125. If interested, submit an application at https://forecloseduponpets.org/cat-adoption-application.
